Sun, Salt and ShovelLife is all about lessons and experiences. That's all there is to life.
When unpleasantness happens, we are supposed to learn something from that experience.
If we don't learn, then it's a do-over. It repeats, giving us more chances to learn the lesson. Until we do, it repeats.
Once we learn the lesson, we will apply it (hopefully) and do things differently - This would change the outcome, prevent that unpleasantness and result in better outcomes.
